For my fourth day at London Fashion Week I had the pleasure of mixing shows with an afternoon of fashionista tea. Clearly I wasn’t going to pass on an opportunity to catch-up with my favourite ladies in fashion and pr over my most enjoyable pass time! The Berkeley’s legendary designer afternoon tea, Prêt-à-Portea, is inspired by the themes and colours of the fashion world. The menu of mouth-watering delicacies with a fashionista twist is transformed every six months to follow the changing seasons in fashion. We enjoyed the delights of Jimmy Choo’s glittery gala pointed-toe shoe velvet praline cream cake with hazelnut croquet and sweetheart bow, to the mouth watering Simone Rocha’s ethereal embroidered tulle dress vanilla éclair filled with salted caramel crème patisserie. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon at London Fashion Week Day 4.
As you may already know, The Berkeley is a luxury hotel located in the heart of Knightsbridge. With an opportunity to get dressed-up, my instant thought was to wear the Corabella Dress. Why? The sleeved dress is an instant contemporary update with its contrast seam detail and scattered print. I have to admit, the Corabella Dress was my stand out piece from Phase Eight’s Spring/Summer Collection. To have the opportunity to style this beautifully structured dress filled my heart with absolute joy. As the dress speaks for itself, I didn’t want to overdo it with accessories, so metallic’s were the obvious choice.
Keeping in tone to the print of the dress, I complimented the style with a black liquid eyeliner and statement lip, I then balanced the look with a natural base and blush. What do you think of my afternoon tea style? I can definitely rework this dress for a wedding with a statement heel or even attend the races with a complimenting hat or fascinator. The Corabella Dress has a lot of wear potential and due to its timeless look and it will see you through for years to come too. After the fashion-themed tea I then headed back to St Martins Lane to enjoy a cocktail (or two) at the trendy Blind Spot bar. Well who wouldn’t want to paint the town with a dress as stunning as this! For more behind the scene pictures of my afternoon at The Berkeley, make sure you head over to the Phase Eight blog.
