With recent changes on Instagram, I’ve found myself thinking of how I use my favourite app. As you may already know I post a picture daily, sometimes even three times a day. But with each image I like to edit a specific filter to represent my brand. Due to my obsession with fashion, food, pastel hues and living on the South coast (BH13), I have a clear nautical and seaside theme to my photography.
So what happens now with the introduction of Instagram Stories? Will this unfiltered imagery and videos ruin the brand I’ve spent so long creating? I think not. To be honest I’m excited to show the ‘real’ life of LifenStyle. There’s a lot work which goes on behind a photo and funny stories too. Sometimes I don’t even have the time to edit an image, so I’m really happy to share those snaps which don’t make it to my feed. I’m also excited to be introducing shopping hauls with style guides, blogging tips, the group of talented friends whom I work with, and behind the scenes footage of my presenting career too.
What are your thoughts on Instagram stories? Is it a do or don’t?
A lot of people are comparing Instagram Stories to Snapchat, and I totally understand why. But at the end of the day these are two separate app’s, I think we should remember that. I’m enjoying watching my favourite Instagrammers through their stories, so in my eyes this new addition to Instagram is a brilliant idea and I’m embracing this everyday to the max!
