On my recent trip to Venice I realised that there’s a handful of products which are my go-to, the kind that’s always worth picking up in duty free. Everyone has their hero products and thought it’s about time I’d share my recommendation of beauty products worth investing in, especially whilst these items are looking nice and new! For me, Bobbi Brown is THE destination for bronzers, blushes and eye pallets – and I have to say this should be the ‘staple diet’ to everyone’s make-up bag!
Beauty Products Worth Investing In
First up is the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Bronze. I’m sure you’ve already heard about this bestselling compact of bronzing heaven. The original Shimmer Brick is a brush-on powder that creates a deep, bronzy glow and gives the appearance of having major cheekbones. And it is for this reason it’s my all time favourite product. I find this one compact is all you need thanks to the superfine pigments that reflects the light. It’s so good that you don’t have to worry about contouring or highlighting your cheeks before or after applying. All you have to do is sweep a face blender brush through all five shades of the Shimmer Brick and dust lightly on your cheekbones. Make sure you focus on applying the lighter shimmer on the top of your cheekbones for the most flattering look.
Next up is Bobbi Brown’s set of neutral eyeshadows. I personally find that all brown hues and shimmering colours really compliment my blue eyes. I also love to use darker shades as an alternative eye liner. As with all Bobbi Brown eye shadow sets, I find they fit nicely in a make up or hand bag. And the colours are always perfect for after work touch ups. What do you think of this pallet which I picked up from duty free? I have to admit, I couldn’t find this pallet online (sorry!) but I do recommend the Downtime Cool Eye Shadow Palette as a great introduction to the Bobbi Brown range. It’s perfect for shading, defining and lining everyday natural eye looks.
