I first discovered MAC Cosmetics Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation from a great Makeup Artist from Bid TV. She wore immaculate makeup which lasted all day and would always apply MAC’s Studio Fix every time she’d do my face. Since then I’ve been using it daily when I feel like I need more coverage as it mimics a matte flawless skin. I also like to use this to set liquid foundation.
I apply Studio Fix with a large brush for a lightweight and even coverage, this way it doesn’t feel too cakey on the skin. However, by applying Studio Fix this way I do find myself having to do touchup’s around the five hour mark. I found that it doesn’t break me out nor irritate my skin and I typically use NC30 to suit my NC35 skin. With this powder, I always wear bronzer to contour and avoid my face from looking flat due to the matte finish. As you can see in the photo above, MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation has great coverage and of course blots out shine. The effect is a light-medium coverage and a natural matte finish.
About MAC Cosmetics Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation
Studio Fix is a powder and foundation in one that combines good coverage with ease of application. Designed to be used dry, the powder and pigments create a matte, velvety texture. It contains Silica, which helps to maintain a matte finish by absorbing oils on the skin, as well as Talc to provide a smoother, less reflective, matte finish. The talc has been milled to a microscopic size to provide a beautiful texture while allowing the skin to breathe. It is available in a wide range of colours. It can be applied with a brush, sponge, or a powder puff. – MAC
MAC Cosmetics Studio Fix is the one face product that I have repurchased over and over again. I have tried several other face powders, but I always go back to using this. Overall, I do love this product and I will continue to repurchase until I find a better powder for providing a flawless finish. Are you able to give me any recommendations?
