When it comes to false lashes, there are as so many brands to choose from. Each is as unique as the woman wearing them. My favourite lash brand is MAC Cosmetics. I love the variety of styles ranging from vamp to natural suitable for any look, day or night. MAC false lashes are the definition of glamour and they’re extremely light-weight and reusable. My favourite pair from the line are #33 lashes – they have a retro flare that gives any woman an edge. All MAC lashes are handmade, very durable and, if taken care of properly, they can be worn up to 10 times.
How to apply fake lashes:
Practice putting on your lashes without the glue first. Just keep repeating the motion, over and over, until you get a good feel for how to hold your hands and tweezers, and where to place the lashes.
Pick up your falsies with a pair of tweezers, look down into a mirror, and gently place the false lashes directly on top of your real ones. The ends of the false lashes may splay out here, if they do just tuck the outer and inner corners into place with your tweezers. Repeat this as many times as you need to. Should your falsies sit a little too long, just trim the edges to size.
Once you feel ready, apply a drop or two of glue onto the back of your hand, dip a cotton ear bud into the glue and use it to carefully apply the glue along the lash strip.
NOTE: It helps to already be holding the lashes with your tweezers at this point.
The glue takes about a minute to set/get sticky, so just chill out for a bit… Now, it’s time to apply. When the glue turns clear it should be dry.
Don’t worry if it doesn’t turn out great the first time. After all, that’s what practice is for.
